“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

I cannot tell you how many times I have asked myself that. Shouldn’t I already know the answer to that question, considering that I will turn 50 this year.  I probably should, but I think that knowing that answer comes from having the courage to follow your dreams.  Since I have usually tried to be the practical one with a solid plan, chasing after dreams seemed childish and irresponsible.  As a result I have spent my entire life reinventing myself to fit my situation.

Don’t get me wrong.  I am not whining.  My life has been really interesting and fun.  Maybe it is the fact that I have been able to completely change myself, my skill set and my attitudes that now I find myself capable of reaching for my dreams and look forward to helping others do the same.

Regardless of your age, if you are challenged by the need to become who you were meant to be, I hope that you will join me on this journey.     This whole website is about reinvention, starting over, change, paradigm shifts, and just shaking things up a little bit.  Changing is one thing I am really good at doing. I have never been afraid to start over.  In the past as I was reinventing myself, however, I often made the mistake of calling whatever I had been doing a failure.  I no longer think that way.  I look at each of those experiences as an educational process.  In each of my adventures I learned new skills, new ways of thinking and different success strategies and in some cases also learned that it just wasn’t for me.

I now live by the rule of “do-overs” and wholeheartedly believe that everyone is entitled to as many as they need.  Maybe you need one.  If you don’t have any handy or don’t know where to find a do-over, feel free to take one of mine.  I have lots – you never know when you might need to start over again.
