Hi there!
Just a little about me… I am Lisa S Downing as opposed to the myriad of other Lisa Downings who don’t have an “S” in the middle. I am a wife, mother, daughter, teacher, student, coach, investor, financial counselor, entrepreneur, do-it-yourself-er, landscaper, chef, gardener, landlord, accountant, tax preparer, taxi driver, painter, crafter, logger, neighbor, friend and Christian just to name a few of my many titles.
A brief history… Born and raised in the farmland of Ohio. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17. Retired as a Supply Corps Officer after having served my country for over 22 years. Since retirement I have been a Realtor, accountant, Assistant to a CEO, financial counselor, therapeutic foster parent, real estate investor, adoptive parent, volleyball coach, bus driver, and right now I am learning how to create earnings from the Internet. Currently living in Northern Virginia with my husband , five children, two dogs and a cat.
So why did I make this blog, don’t I have enough to keep me busy? The truth is, I have always had a secret desire to be a writer. I have never chased it, and it haunts me. So I plan to use this format to practice writing, share thoughts and ideas, ask and answer questions, listen to your feedback, encourage you to chase your dreams and just take a few minutes to walk through life together.
